Sechrest’s KSEX Shows Restructure Format

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Jason Sechrest's "The Young & the Curious," one of KSEX Radio's most popular shows, is undergoing a makeover to accommodate its growing audience. The show now will broadcast live three nights a week — Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. (PST) — and then rebroadcast from 10 p.m. to midnight. Both KSEX members and members of Sechrest's straight/gay entertainment site JasonCurious will be able to access the live feed.

Broadcasts on Mondays will cater to a straight audience; Tuesday will focus on the gay community; and Fridays will offer a topic "free-for-all" — with only a portion of the show comprising adult-oriented content.

According to KSEX, Sechrest "promises to bring to the table everything from political debates to inner-industry controversies with a wide variety of guests ranging from musicians and bloggers to astrologers and drag queens."

"Most shows, even sex-based talk shows, are incredibly well rounded and feature a wide variety of topics and guests," Sechrest said in a press release. "Look, I'm 27. I'm growing up, and I needed a new format to reflect that. My interests have changed. There's more going on in the world, and there's no reason why a show can't be sexy and make you think at the same time.

"The idea that beauty and brains has to be divided is not one of the fantasies our industry needs to perpetuate, and KSEX is the perfect format for breaking out of that box," he continued. "This show will be sexy and it will feature pornography, but it will also tackle controversial topics: It will talk about the state of the world and it will attempt to find solutions."

Beginning in August, Sechrest also will host "Inside Studio X" — a mockup of Bravo's Inside the Actors Studio — chronicling the careers of adult's biggest stars. Industry legend Ginger Lynn will inaugurate the monthly show, which will be taped beforehand and available on pay-per-view.

Upcoming stars slated to appear on Sechrest's show include: Kitty Langdon and Joey Ray; Lex Sabre and Tory Mason; Richelle Ryan and Rocky; Shannon Kelly and Tommy Gunn; Kyle Foxxx with RentBoy.com emcee, Angel Benton; Johnny Castle and Jenaveve Jolie; Heidi Mayne and her husband; Jason Ridge and Rob Romoni; and Eddie Stone and Rocky Brown; with live performances by drag queen celebrity Jackie Beat.
