ROAD TOWN, British Virgin Islands - SafeCharge announced Tuesday that it has renewed its Visa and MasterCard processing certification through Payment Card Industry's Security Standards Council.
"We take the strongest measures to remain PCI-compliant at all times," said Director of Marketing Sharon Gal-Franko. "It takes constant effort, but it is rewarded by knowing that our merchants can rely on us for utmost security."
PCI's Security Standards Council manages data-security standards.
SafeCharge also urged merchants to use its Card Data Storage feature, which was created to relieve merchants of having to store credit-card data, obtain PCI certification and worry about database security. After SafeCharge receives credit-card data for an initial transaction, it sends the merchant a token to use as an identifier in future transactions, such as those involving crediting, voiding, settling and re-billing.
