Rockin’ Party Kicks Off Phoenix Forum

PHOENIX - Those who were lucky enough to arrive early for The Phoenix Forum got the chance to live their rock 'n' roll dreams at the XBiz Rocks party Wednesday night.

With classic hits from bands like KISS and Lynyrd Skynyrd blasting through speakers and posters of classic rock bands adorning the walls, attendees enjoyed some good food and socializing before getting down to the business of seminars and workshops throughout the weekend.

"Our rock-themed kickoff event was a big hit," said Alec Helmy, president of XBiz. "Turns out when you mix business with rock 'n' roll and free booze a lot of people show up."

In addition to networking with colleagues, attendees had the opportunity to pose for rock 'n' roll pictures and compete in "Guitar Hero."

The Phoenix Forum and the Gay Phoenix Forum continue through Saturday at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel. For more information, visit ThePhoenixForum.com.
