CYBERSPACE—You can’t keep a good ephebophile down. Just when you thought they had been permanently banished from Conde Nast-owned Reddit, back they storm, unapologetic and determined to mine the web for the—how does Gawker put it—the best “pedophile masturbation aid” money can buy. Oh, wait, it’s free on Reddit, courtesy of photos lifted from untold thousands of profiles on social networks, where post-pubescent girls post photos of themselves in provocative poses wearing short shorts, teeny tees and sometimes … nothing at all.
It’s being called child pornography by many and by the letter of the law the lascivious exhibition of minors even if they are clothed can get you some serious slammer time, but for the hardcore ephebophile (i.e. pedophilia apologists) the reward is apparently worth the risk. Indeed, in the relatively few “nude” photos available on Reddit the subjects cover their private parts, including their breasts, but as far as the law is concerned, they might as well be flagrantly exposed.
The Jailbait section closed by Reddit last week after explicit photos of a 14-year-old were exchanged and Anderson Cooper took up the Down-With-Jailbait cause is still closed, but in its place is The New Jailbait—yes, in a nod to subtlety, that’s it’s name—which has the inauspicious goal of trying to rebuilt the original Jailbait to its original glory.
It gets better. According to Gawker, “In fact, Jailbait never really left Reddit, as this handy guide shows. There remains ‘Jailbait Videos,’ ‘Jailbait Archives,’ and many other forums dedicated to creeping on kids. Most intriguing is a private, ‘by invitation only’ section dedicated to Male Jailbait.”
How one gets an invite is anyone’s guess, but we suspect that these new forums can expect another withering attack by Anderson Cooper and the CNN Truth Squad sometime around the next sweeps week.
Oh, Anderson, while you're at it take a gander at the Images result of a Google search for "jailbait."
