CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Recently released from his contract with 1R Media, gay adult star Blair Mason is ready to tell his side of the story — and tells it in an exclusive interview now available on QueerBites.
Once an exclusive actor for 1R Media, Mason had been released from his contractual obligations, the company announced earlier this month. Now, Mason wants to set the record straight in an interview on QueerBites, the popular gay culture blog that has hosted exclusive interviews with several gay adult stars in the past.
Talking about life after 1R Media, Mason opened up to QueerBites blogger Cooper about the split, his new goals, with whom he would like to work, what he would like newcomers to learn, and more.
In the interview, Blair explained it was an amicable split, but both parties eventually realized they were not meant for each other. "The only regret I have working with 1R Media is that I didn't smarten up about the industry until it is what could have been too late," said Blair. "I made commitments on a whim and did not think things through. No 18-year-old should have as much risk and responsibility put on them all at once. I was naive and thought that people were looking out for my best interest.
"I had a reality check and realized that I was an adult now and that people are going to be looking out for themselves more than me. I had to look out for myself or else nobody else would," Blair continued. "That is why I decided to try and get out of my contract. If you ask Afton, he will say that technically I was let go — which is the truth, technically; but, if I had the choice to make, I would have left a long time ago."
