BARCELONA—Private Media Group has announced the launch of PrivateLifestyle.com, a promotional mini-site for the impending release of its big-budget flick, An Open Invitation: A Real Swingers’ Party in San Francisco, the second release out of the new Private Independent label, following A Real Swingers’ Orgy.
An Open Invitation already has been recognized as one the most original and compelling adult titles in years, said the company in a Friday announcement, noting that Paul Fishbein, founder and president of AVN, has given the movie top honors, including a AAAAA review and 13 AVN Award pre-nominations, and even described it as “the best couples movie to come along in years,” adding, "I give An Open Invitation my highest recommendation as an erotic picture.”
The movie is the fruit of Private’s collaboration with Ilana Rothman from Kink, who the company says has created a "highly erotic and innovative film" that appeals not just to porn fans, but also women, couples and mainstream audiences. Directing from a serious script with a strong cast that keeps viewers riveted throughout, "She brings to the screen a superbly shot movie with a seductively evolving storyline and a deeply sensual undercurrent."
In addition to the mini-site, Private also has embarked upon a vertical marketing campaign that will promote both the movie and the mini-site throughout the global network of swinging communities, via "lifestyle" websites. Private’s press office also has been pushing the title to mainstream media, including adult women’s mainstream press, national newspapers and broadcast outlets.
According to Giles Hirst, Private Media Group’s marketing director, the quality and realism contained in the movie set a new standard for production in adult cinema. “The movie is a realistic portrayal of a young married couple’s journey into the swinging lifestyle culminating in a real swingers party starring 127 real swingers and 15 adult stars, with superb acting performances from India Summer, James Deen, Lorelei Lee and Mickey Mod, who were all nominated for Best Actor/Actress for their work in this film," he added.
An Open Invitation: A Real Swingers Party in San Francisco will be released on DVD in Europe on May 1 and will street in North America on June 17.
