BARCELONA, Spain - Private Media Group has launched its white-label movie download site for Private to Own for resellers and affiliates.
The site, which uses the DivX platform, enables resellers to create download stores featuring almost 1,000 Private movies. Two new titles are added every week.
The multilingual site was launched in English, German and Spanish, and a French version will be added soon, Private Media Group said.
Resellers can create their own branded versions of the site, customizing its look, feel and featured categories, such as lesbian, teen and fetish.
Marketing tools are available through the affiliate program Private Cash. Payouts are made every two weeks, and resellers can check their statistics daily.
As a special promotion for the launch of the new service, Private will pay out 60 percent on every download sale made through the end of April.
"The download-to-own market is still relatively new, but since we launched Private to Own in August 2006, we have seen significant incremental sales month-on-month, with a 44 percent increase in revenues in [the third and fourth quarters of] 2007, compared to [the first and second quarters] of that year," said Panos Kouvatsos, Private's affiliate manager. "Now that we have the ability to offer this platform through our affiliate program, we expect to see a substantial increase in revenues over the coming months."
"Private is one of the few adult companies offering this unique platform to the marketplace," Marketing Director Giles Hirst added. "Customer retention is guaranteed because once users have tried the experience, our records show that they repeatedly return to purchase our titles."
