HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - PornCares, a nonprofit, adult industry, charity organization, and AVN Media Network invite everyone to a "kegger" party and "porno charity" auction at Internext Summer in conference room 318 on Friday, Aug. 3, from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Original art, autographed DVDs, and passes for Internext Las Vegas 2008 will be auctioned off, among other items, and proceeds will go to charities such as Free Speech Coalition, National Coalition Against Censorship, and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative.
PornCares founder Al B. told AVN Online, "PornCares is dedicated to improving the reputation of the adult industry, curing AIDS, fighting censorship and child pornography, and giving adult stars the opportunity to help the world through charity. This year's auction proceeds will go to three very important charities: The FSC, the NCAC, and the IAVI. We hope to raise in excess of $2,000 at the Internext Summer auction, and we will be putting the unsold donations up on eBay for adult fans around the world to bid on.
"We greatly appreciate any donations, help, or input. We are also looking for ideas on how to get people more involved."
The MySpace campaign for PornCares did very well, with a good amount of the adult industry offering to send actionable material.
"TheBestPorn wants to send an iPod, Homegrown is going to give a huge collection of movies and a bunch of porn stars want to send in signed DVDs," Al B. continued. "I plan to also send some sexy starlets around the Westin Diplomat on Thursday and Friday to garner more support before the party."
Internext Expo, designated the "One Conference," focuses on the adult industry as a whole as it morphs, regenerates, and redefines itself in the 21st century.
