After more than a year of negotiations, Playa Solutions co-founders Jason Tucker and Oystein Wright have finally settled their ongoing dispute, which originally began almost two years ago.
The terms of the settlement are confidential; however, Tucker said, "I am happy that Oystein and I were able to resolve our differences amicably. I am sorry to say that this occurred, but I am relieved that this is over and we can both move on."
Wright echoed Tucker's statement, adding that he "was relieved that it was over."
The dispute began in May 2005 when Wright and the company hit Tucker with a lawsuit, alleging that Tucker diverted at least $75,000 from Playa to himself and the other defendants, including his wife, Gail Harris.
The original complaint also named Tucker's other company—Falcon Foto—as a defendant and alleged the actions took place during Playa's deal with Protected Media, in which Playa had acquired a 50-percent share. The suit also cited Tucker, Harris, and Falcon Foto for a laundry list of other complaints.
Playa Solutions closed in June 2005.
