Pink Visual Showcases Innovations at AEE

LAS VEGAS—Pink Visual chose a more unconventional way to showcase its new web applications and other technologies during the Adult Entertainment Expo: Setting up their lounge-style booth in the hallway outside the show floor.

“We knew CES (the Consumer Electronics Show) wouldn’t be in the hall this year, and we knew there would still be a lot of traffic coming this way, looking for technological advances, so we thought this would be the perfect place to set up shop,” said Kim Kysar of Pink Visual.

And it turns out, they were right. Plenty of people took time to stop by the area, which not only had comfy couches and a quieter atmosphere, but also had plenty of iPhones and computers to show off the latest advancements by the company.

One of the leaders in mobile porn sites and adult web-based applications, Pink Visual let consumers and trade attendees participate in games of Tranny or Not, cruise the content on the mobile site ITouchHer.com, and view some of the company’s soft-core sites for mobile devices.

But the biggest attraction seemed to be the augmented reality demonstrations. Using a computer connected to the Internet that has a webcam and Adobe Flash Player installed, the key provided by Pink Visual is held up in front of the webcam, and then animates any action recorded by the webcam. The application is already being used by mainstream companies like The Home Depot and Coca-Cola (which used a key attached to specially designed cans to promote the movie Avatar), and Pink Visual officials are working on developing porn-specific applications for the technology, Kysar said.

“The animation can be applied in a way that lets you create a photo of you and a woman in bed, or you can watch a porn movie, and insert yourself into the action, or you can have the action of a porn inserted into your own environment,” she said.

The application is just more way that Pink Visual has found to deliver its content to the masses. Kysar noted that since the company started 12 years, and escaped the Internet bubble and then moved into DVD production, they always have their eyes on the next big way to distribute material.
