LAS VEGAS - OCCash is taking a hint from YouTube and has created new embedded viral-marketing tools.
The basic embed can be used to insert static video content on any Web page, whether it be a thumbnail gallery post, link list, blog, forum, newsgroup, or even MySpace link. Wherever the video is posted, it will carry the affiliate's ID.
Beyond the basic embed, webmasters also can include embedded code with a link for surfers to pick up and share the video—the viral-marketing component. When surfers repost the video in new places, it will continue to carry the affiliate code, thereby increasing the potential for new sales.
The code comes in two versions, so it will display correctly on pages designed in WordPress, AutoBlogger, and in standard HTML.
A second tool, the updating embed, is for link lists, TGPs, and blogs. This embed automatically is refreshed with a new video every 24 hours and is available with the viral-share feature, so reposted videos still carry the originator's affiliate ID.
Finally, OCCash provides PG-13-rated viral videos. These can be posted on MySpace, message boards, or forums: None contains hardcore imagery but retains the viral code.
