NEW YORK — Nude photos of R&B singer Cassie hit the Web Wednesday and made fine fodder for mainstream music and showbiz gossip blogs.
The 22-year-old girlfriend and protégé of music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, Cassie Ventura recently made big news in blogs and tabloids when she shaved her head. This is making some suspicious over the "leak" of the photos, though she claims otherwise.
In a statement on her website and Twitter account, the singer said, “The recent personal pictures that have been leaked on the Internet of me were hacked and stolen out of my computer. These photos were obviously never intended for the world to see and it’s sad that people would really take time to steal and post them, it’s just evil. At the end of the day breasts are breasts; mine weren’t the first you’ve seen and won’t be the last. People need to grow up. Let’s move on."
She also called the hacking "foul and evil," adding, "Now stop acting like you haven't seen a titty before."
The photos include topless shots and also a spread-eagle pose. The question remains: If the photos were never intended for the world, one look at them here and here on Fleshbot does make one wonder, owing to the posed nature of the shots, who were they intended for?
