Mr. Skin to Appear in Mainstream Comedy

CHICAGO - Talk about creative branding! Mr. Skin — the man behind naked-celebrity magazine Mr. Skin, its website MrSkin.com, and the affiliate program MrSkinCash — has taken marketing to an entirely new level with his appearance in the hit comedy Knocked Up from director Judd Aptow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin).

In the film, Seth Rogen plays an aspiring Internet mogul whose goal is to cover nudity in Hollywood films — until he learns of the existence of MrSkin.com.

According to Mr. Skin, his appearance in the film came about after Aptow heard him talk on the "Howard Stern Show." "When Judd was writing Knocked Up, he wanted the goofy guys in the movie to work hard on a great idea that had already been done to perfection by somebody else — and to have them be oblivious to the existing business," Mr. Skin told AVNOnline.com. "Given the nature of the characters in the movie, movie nude scenes seemed to be a natural obsession for them, which led Judd and star Seth Rogen to consider working MrSkin.com into the story."

Mr. Skin said his site already has experienced "nice jumps in site traffic" following the film's opening on Friday, June 1.

"The fact that the movie is so great means that not only will it be one of the biggest hits of 2007, but that it will live on for years as a DVD and cable-TV favorite," he added. "Every time it airs, MrSkin.com will be there before the eyes of countless millions."

With a new book (Mr. Skin's Skintastic Video Guide: The 501 Greatest Movies for Sex and Nudity on DVD) due in the fall and a hot, new product (X-Ray Specs, which will enable movie watchers to see actresses naked — whether or not they remove their clothes) in the works, Mr. Skin said he is enjoying the exposure that Aptow's film brought to his site.

"The site is already hugely popular with mainstream America. Having it appear in Knocked Up will serve, first, to make us more well known, and secondly, to bring fans 'out of the closet,' so to speak," he said. "I and the entire Skin Team are honored and could not be happier."
