Manwin Acquires Spankwire; Folds Dating Affiliate Program

MONTREAL—Manwin Group of Companies, parents of Brazzers, has purchased another tube site to add to its online offerings. On Aug. 1, the company purchased all assets belonging to Spankwire.com and has begun management duties through its Canadian office.

Spankwire.com will operate under the company’s Paid Content Partner Program.

“The program soon will be available for the site, placing a text link above each video to divert traffic back to its original site,” the company said. “This free service is available to everyone and allows content owners to have their videos accessible to millions of people.”

Advertising spots on the site will now go through TrafficJunky.net. Contact the traffic broker at [email protected].

“This acquisition continues on the path of diversification Manwin Group of companies envisions for its future,” the company said. “Manwin believes there is a place for tube sites in the adult industry—and also a way to have them work hand in hand with pay sites in order to increase revenues and benefits for all pay sites, as well as affiliates.

Spankwire is the latest addition to Manwin Group of Companies’ network of adult sites, since also acquiring Brazzers, Mofos and MovieBox in March 2010.

In other Manwin news, the company has ceased operations of its People Traffic affiliate program, the program associated with its dating site, SexInYourCity.com.

The company cites “shifting strategies within the dating division, and placing greater focus on core competencies.”

Manwin will close the affiliate program within 30 days and affiliates are encouraged to pull their links within that timeframe.

All outstanding amounts owed to webmasters will be paid in full in addition to any revenue sharing payouts that will continue until all rebills have expired.

The SexInYourCity.com will remain on board to assist all webmasters in dealing with any adjustments necessary. Affiliates can use the same point of contact.
