Popular gay video-on-demand site Maleflixxx will host a meet-and-greet party on the first day of the Internext show in Vegas.
Dubbed the Cock and Tail Party, the four-hour event will be in the Maleflixxx hospitality suite in the Mandalay Bay Casino & Resort on Jan. 15 and will feature food, drinks, and plenty of networking merriment.
According to Maleflixxx’s Mary Gillis, the event is intended not only to allow the Toronto-based Maleflixxx employees to mix and mingle with other industry professionals, but also to bring others together.
“We’re so far away from the bulk of the industry, so when we go down to the shows, they’re really important to us, because they are the few chances a year that we have to really sit down and talk with and mingle with and socialize with all of our partners,” Gillis told AVNOnline.com. “So the Maleflixxx Cock and Tail Hour is all about a few hours where everybody can come together; chat in a slightly lower-key setting with drinks and food to keep the conversations flowing.”
Gillis said that event was scheduled so as not to interfere with any other parties.
“It gives everybody some time to mingle, chat, and have a couple of drinks before going off to their hotel rooms to change for their nightly activities,” she offered.
Best of all, she added, the party represents the first chance during the Internext trade show for gay and gay-friendly affiliates to “come together.”
“It’s not really about us,” Gillis said. “People meet and mingle and talk there, and it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with Maleflixxx. We just happen provide the setting.”
With a chuckle, she added, “We like to think of ourselves as ‘porn enablers.’”
