Maleflixxx Pledges Funds to AIDS Treatment

TORONTO - During its Third Annual Red Ribbon Campaign, $1 from every Dec. 1 rental on the Maleflixxx global network will be donated to support AIDS treatment in Africa.

"Maleflixxx is committed to supporting organizations that work to impact the livelihoods of communities being devastated by the HIV/AIDS epidemic worldwide," said Eric Johnson, president of Maleflixxx parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution. "All of the proceeds raised by this initiative will be donated to a registered charity that works to support grassroots, community-based organizations and initiatives in their fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa."

Dec. 1 is World AIDS Day, which since 1988 has been about raising money, increasing awareness and education, and fighting prejudice.

"World AIDS Day reminds people that HIV has not gone away, and that there are many things still to be done," Johnson said. "HIV/AIDS knows no boundaries of age, race or sexual preference.

"As members of the gay adult entertainment industry, we believe that it is our responsibility to do our part in fighting this terrible disease by providing financial assistance and facilitating open communication about HIV/AIDS," he continued. "This is our way of working toward a worldwide goal. On Dec. 1, the more you watch, the more you will give to this worthy cause."
