LAS VEGAS - The Live Adult Domain Auction concluded Tuesday during Internext Las Vegas, but an online version will continue through Thursday, Jan. 22.
And those who were unable to participate in the live auction can rejoice in the fact that several big domains are still available. Unable to meet the reserve price at the live event, names like Nudes.com and Handjob.com are still for sale.
Handjob.com made headlines in October when iPorn.com acquired the site for an undisclosed amount in a private sale.
Another big name originally listed for the auction, Erotica.com, was sold in a private transaction before the auction for $850,000.
Other domains still available during the online auction are SpankTheMoney.com, which auctioneers noted could be developed into a social network; GayDate.com, which has 1,400 registered members and includes the current content and updates that are 95 percent complete; and Fucker.com, which auctioneers suggested could be developed with adult or non-adult content.
The live domain auction has become a staple event at Internext shows, with past auctions seeing the sale of Porn.com for $9 million and the sale of the Sick Sites Network, which included the popular ConsumptionJunction.com site.
