John Stagliano to Speak at Cybernet Expo

SAN FRANCISCO - Evil Angel founder John Stagliano is scheduled to address the industry at Cybernet Expo, set for June 10-12 at the Golden Gateway Hotel in San Francisco.

Stagliano, the award-winning creator of the gonzo genre, will address free expression, sexuality, the Internet and his current obscenity-related legal battles. The speech is titled "Are We Evil or Divine?"

"I am working on something that will talk about the incredible cultural advance the Internet has made in human sexuality," he said.

Stagliano will speak during the Free Speech Coalition luncheon on June 12 and during a closing presentation from 5-5:30 p.m. that day.

In April, Stagliano was charged with multiple counts of federal obscenity-related violations. He faces the possibility of more than 30 years in prison, professional and personal forfeiture, and millions of dollars in fines.

Stagliano said he believes that porn is the "sexual expression of the masses, something which has been the preserve of kings, politicians and sultans with harems."

In addition to providing an update on his battle against the Obscenity Prosecution Task Force, Stagliano plans to focus on the "battle against those who would leave us bound in a closet."

In addition to Stagliano's speeches, Cybernet Expo will feature seminars, parties, networking opportunities, "XXX Iron Man" competitions, D Money's "Rock the Ball," "Show and Sell" and the closing-night exclusive live shoot "Kink in the Kastle."
