Internext Announces Keynote Speaker

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - AVN Media Network today announced that Joe Lakey, executive vice president of Playboy Enterprises Inc. and founder of Adult.com and GFY.com , will be the keynote speaker at Internext Las Vegas 2007.

Lakey’s presentation, Beyond Web 2.0: How it will affect our business, will take place on the first day of the conference, Monday, Jan. 15, from noon to 1:00 p.m.

The presentation will explore what’s next for the adult entertainment industry, including hot issues such as how video-sharing sites will affect the content-site business model; how social networking will affect the dating- and interactive-site business model; and if 2257 will kill TGPs. Lakey will examine these potential changes along with analyzing the next big revenue opportunities for online adult entertainment. With convergence of online and television on the horizon, Lakey also will explore how the adult industry will again lead innovation.

“I’m flattered to be asked by Internext and AVN Online to be the conference’s keynote presenter,” Lakey said. “I look forward to reflecting on the last decade as well as offering where I think the industry will evolve to in the new few years. It’s an exciting time for those who are smart and innovative.”

Lakey, known to many by his nickname, Lensman, has been responsible for wildly successful affiliate programs like RealityCash; the industry’s most-trafficked webmaster board, GFY; the Webmaster Access trade shows; and video distributors Cinema Play Entertainment during his 10 years in the industry. In September 2005, Playboy Enterprises, where Lakey now is executive vice president, acquired all properties of Adult.com .

“We’re honored and excited to have a true industry pioneer presenting our keynote address,” said MJ McMahon, associate publisher of AVN Online. “Joe has proved himself to be one of the most forward-thinking business minds in our industry. So, as Internext moves into a new era, it’s appropriate that we have an innovator like Joe Lakey to share his thoughts on where our industry is moving.”
