ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Cory Wayne, former BROMaster and current vice president of business development for WEGCash.com, has announced that the ImABro.com domain has been sold.
The site was formerly used as a satirical blogging playground targeting the online adult industry. Wayne had kept his identity as the BROMaster anonymous for some time, but took his final bow and publicly revealed his alter ego earlier this year.
Terms of the domain sale were not disclosed, and the new buyers have chosen to remain anonymous. The domain name remains private with GoDaddy.com.
About their identity, the new owners would only say that they are "a well-known adult and mainstream entity and have been among us since the industry's inception."
The new owners did, however, issue a statement to AVN Online.
"We are excited about the new venture," the statement said. "We fully realize that we will never be able to emulate the blog's former success, however, we do feel the industry will enjoy our plans for change. The Friday of the [Internext Florida] show should make for a very interesting day."
While the information is cryptic at best, speculation exists that a new forum or industry resource site, with a spin, could be in the works and announced at Internext.
"I didn't sell any ideas or concepts, its important that those distinctions are made clear," Wayne told AVN Online. "I sold a domain name and after next week, I will have nothing to do with it. For now, I am redirecting people to my new blog, SurfElPort.com, as that was part of the deal. I look forward to seeing what the new owners have in store and wish them all the best."
