Glam Media Launches Glam Search

NEW YORK - Women-oriented online media company Glam Media has launched Glam Search, which searches for content from Glam.com and its network of more than 350 lifestyle, celebrity and fashion websites.

In addition to classic searching and indexing technologies, Glam Search uses a proprietary "curated rank" algorithm that assigns preference levels to pages based on timeliness, relevance and an editorial analysis of their content. The search covers Glam Media's network of websites and blogs; for example, a search for content related to "handbag trends" gives results from the company's leading fashion sites.

Network publishers can add customizable Glam Search widgets to their sites or channels and configure their search results.
