LOS ANGELES—AVN Media Network is very pleased to announce that the peer-voted GFY People’s Choice Awards will take place January 13 in Las Vegas, as part of The AVN Show. Pre-nominations for the awards categories (listed below) will begin October 15 and end November 19.
The GFY Awards, which debuted in 2011 during the Webmaster Access Amsterdam adult webmaster event, tap into the opinionated and vocal community that has developed on GFY.com, the extremely active adult webmaster board that over the years has become the online industry’s de facto watering hole, where every issue of note—and some of no note—are thoroughly aired out in a manner that often resembles a digital prison riot.
In 2012, the GFY Award ceremony was once again held in Amsterdam, but the decision was then made to incorporate the increasingly popular event into the spectacular maelstrom of excitement and sex that takes place every January at the world-famous Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas—aka The AVN Show. The GFY Awards ceremony has been scheduled to take place at 9 p.m. January 13, at Vinyl inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
“The GFY Awards give companies and individuals an amazing opportunity to be nominated and recognized by the community as a whole,” said GFY “Head Zookeeper” Eric Matis. “AVN and GFY felt that having an award ceremony that wasn't at the start of the New Year didn't fully represent what a yearly award should offer the community.”
Admission to the GFY Awards is open to all Internext attendees. Pre-nominations will open October 15 and will close on November 19.
