PHOENIX - Matrix HD and NETBilling once again will host a golf outing at the Phoenix Forum.
The fourth annual Phoenix Forum Golf Tournament is scheduled for a shotgun start at noon Wednesday, March 26, at the Arizona State University Karsten Golf Club.
"We started this as a charity event that would benefit the [Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection] and the Free Speech Coalition," said Stephen Bugbee, president of Matrix Content and an event organizer. "Last year, we added the Webmaster Toy Run as a beneficiary, too. It's really grown in a few years."
Bugbee said the tournament can accommodate between 64 and 68 golfers.
The cost of registration is $255 per person, which cover 18 holes of golf, range balls, a golf cart, a bag tag and a goodie bag from event sponsors. The fee also includes a continental breakfast during registration and lunch on the course, including drink tickets.
Transportation to and from the golf course will be provided by CCBill, and buses will leave from the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel at 10 a.m.
"This is my favorite event of all the golf tournaments we do," Bugbee said. "I love Arizona, I love the weather, and I love the course.
"People say you can get a lot of business done on the course, but if we talked business the whole time, we would all play some pretty bad golf. But there are some really great relationships built on the course. We really do have a Who's Who of the industry at this event each year."
There also will be contests throughout the event. Among the prizes will be those for the longest drive, the straightest drive and the drive closest to the pin. Contest winnings include cash, prizes and tickets for the raffle that will be held at the Phoenix Forum Mixer and Awards Dinner immediately following the tournament.
Sponsors for the event are CE Cash, NETBilling, Matrix Content, Playboy Golf, Yappo Dollars, Video Secrets, Commerce Gate, Mansion Productions, SilverCash, Smash Bucks, CCBill, Epoch, Diabolic Dollars, OC3 Networks and Encoding.tv.
