Florida Man Claims His Cat Downloaded Child Porn

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla.—Have you heard the one about the Florida man who blamed his cat for child pornography files found on his computer?

As absurd as it sounds, that's the defense claimed by Keith Griffin of Jensen Beach,  who was charged with 10 counts of possession of child porn after police found more than 1,000 such images on his computer.

Griffin told investigators his cat was to blame. He said his cat jumped on his computer when he was downloading music and also claimed the cat sits on the keyboard, leading to downloads of child porn that he referred to as "strange material," according to the North County Gazette. Surely, the files must be the deviant cat's fault.

Police aren't buying any of that, of course, and Griffin has been charged and is being held on $250,000, while the accused cat is being taken care of by a family friend.
