NASHVILLE, Tenn.—In the adult novelty trade, innovation is a survival must, which is one reason why Ntimate, Inc. plans to launch its first fully featured adult-oriented crowdfunding platform on August 10. Already, 30 project creators have applied for access to FleshStarter.com with projects ranging from DVD and web projects to anime and animation to naughty lingerie and adult novelties.
"Our whole team is just as excited and enthusiastic as possible at the amazing initial response we are getting from across the adult, LGBT and other marginalized communities not presently served by mainstream crowdfunding sites," said Jack Campbell, CEO of Ntimate, Inc., parent company of the FleshStarter platform. "At this rate it is clear to us that there is an enormous pool of creative talent in this sector in dire need of early funding to get their projects going. And we are happy to be able to provide a modern, robust platform that gives them access to the crowdfunding method. Thirty project submissions in two days totally exceeds our wildest expectations."
FleshStarter has been in development for over a year and is intended to complement existing crowdfunding sites, such as Kickstarter and IndieGoGo, that bar participation by adult oriented projects. The site will provide the sort of all-or-nothing funding technique used by Kickstarter, will host pitch videos produced by project creators and will deliver all of the features expected of a modern commercial crowdfunding platform.
FleshStarter.com will feature each project with a main project image and short descriptions that are PG rated and suitable for public view. Access to the site interior, including the detailed project pages, pitch videos and project descriptions will require visitors to pass through a site registration process that includes age verification. Fully explicit content is permitted in this age restricted interior site area. If it's legal in the USA, it's permitted inside FleshStarter.com.
The platform functions very similarly to Kickstarter's all-or-nothing funding method, where a funding goal is posted, specific rewards are offered at varying pledge amounts and, the pledged funds are only collected and disbursed if the project meets or exceeds its funding goal. If the funding goal is not met, no payments are processed.
Anyone with a creative project in the adult category needing funding is encouraged to contact FleshStarter through their web site or by email for details on how to submit a project and join the August 10 launch.
FleshStarter is accepting project submissions in the following categories: Art & Anime, Fashion, Film & Video, Fringe & Oddities, Internet, Photography, Publishing, Theater & Events, Toys & Novelties.
Anyone interested in posting a project should contact FleshStarter through the site's main page or email the company.
