LOS ANGELES - The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection will be a beneficiary of Moniker.com's domain name auction Tuesday during AVN's Internet Expo in Las Vegas.
ASACP will receive all proceeds from the live auction of the domain name AdultPhotoExchange.com.
"Moniker fully supports the mission of ASACP and its commitment to protecting children's welfare online," said Monte Cahn, co-founder and CEO of Moniker.com. "We believe that AdultPhotoExchange.com could fetch bids for several thousand dollars, and the funds raised will notably impact ASACP operations and draw attention to its positive work around the Internet."
"Last August, Moniker.com donated a domain name, and the proceeds from the sale raised $2,400 for ASACP, so we are obviously very excited that they are including us again in this auction," said Joan Irvine, executive director of the ASACP. "Raising funds is always a very difficult and time-consuming process for any organization. I am so grateful that Moniker.com has stepped up to help us further our mission to protect children."
More than 200 domain names will be auctioned from 4-7 p.m. PST on Tuesday at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. An additional 2,000 domain names will be available in a concurrent online auction that will begin Tuesday and run throughout the week.
