CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Adult and mainstream DVD and Blu-ray authoring company Dimension DVD is celebrating 10 years in business. Robert Brickman, the company’s co-founder has longtime roots in the adult entertainment industry.
Brickman’s father, Charlie Brickman, founded classic porn studio Cinderella in 1978. Father brought son into the business and Robert Brickman worked for Cinderella for 10 years before partnering with Daniel Milstein to form Dimension DVD in 2000. Brickman also serves as chief technology officer for skinworXXX, the adult studio owned by Teagan Presley and Joshua.
Dimension DVD was founded when DVDs were only a few years old and most adult movies were distributed on VHS cassette.
“This was just going to be a hobby to us initially, but it grew into something much more,” Brickman said. “I take pride in my work, as does Daniel, and we are very excited to hit the 10 year mark and have such great exclusive clients such as Wicked and Vivid.”
Some of Dimension’s other clients include Elegant Angel, skinworXXX and Metro Media.
Over the past decade Dimension DVD has been on the cutting edge and claims a few industry firsts. The authoring outfit was the first to offer a true high-definition project on HD-DVD in the form of Wicked Pictures’ Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre. Last year the company authored the first true anamorphic full DVD resolution digital copy for skinworXXX’s Deviance.
