LAS VEGAS—AVN Media Network’s Internext 2013 got off to a brisk start yesterday, with back-to-back action at the online adult industry gathering from 9:30 in the morning to the middle of the night. Not only was the action brisk—so was the temperature. But a hardy group braved the cold to kick things off with the Internext Golf Touranment at Rio Secco.
Registration began at 10 a.m., sponsored by Pussycash. A new feature of the show was a seminar titled “How Do You Get the Most Out of the Show,” at which members of the AVN staff discussed the features of the show and how to maximize its educational and networking potential. And speaking of making connections, the Speed Networking session continues to be a major draw at the show. The Sunday session at 3 p.m. had a second room set up to accommodate the crowds. After Speed Networking, attendees had the opportunity to attend an insurance workshop.
Throughout the day various companies set up spaces where attendees could socialize. The MojoHost/CAM4 hospitality suite in the Pool Villas was hopping from 2 to 11pm. The Paxum Lounge and PartnerCash Café provided venues to talk business and grab snacks, and a sports viewing room at the Paradise Penthouse was organized by Broker Babe. (Click here for photos)
The Meet Market, sponsored by AWE, drew one of the biggest crowds ever seen at Internext, with dozens of companies that provide various services in the adult marketplace, including content providers, billing companies, dating sites, webcam sites, ad networks, traffic experts, mobile companies and affiliate programs. There was no shortage of swag, from branded office supplies to snack food.
One of the most colorful displays was at the Mr. Skin booth. A big bag of bright green golf balls was on display next to a poker set—the object was to guess the correct number of balls and win the set. And it also served as a introduction for the next big event of the day, sponsored by Mr. Skin: golfing at Monster Mini Golf, across the street from the Hard Rock. In addition to free pizza and the chance to play indoor golf on a KISS-themed mini course decorated with fluorescent paint, the evening also featured a performance by the band Mini KISS—which, just as it sounds, featured little people taking on the persona of Starchild, the Demon, Space Ace and Catman while they played the hits of the 1970s hard rock band.
For those attendees who weren't up for golfing, there was the option of the YNOT Grqand Priz, which was sponsored by Juicy Ads. Competitors had the chance to test their driving skills and have a little fun on the racetrack.
Following the YNOT Grand Prix, attendees streamed upstairs to Vanity nightclub for a party hosted by GFY. An open bar and a pumping music mix kept the crowds happy—and those who were up for even more fun could seek out an invitation-only late-night party hosted by Juicy Ads and Affil4you.
Internext continues today and tomorrow at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
