MIAMI - Six-year adult-industry veteran Chance Taffer has joined the staff at D&E Productions/BluMedia Studios, the company announced Wednesday. He will take charge of D&E's art department, including video editing and graphic design functions, in addition to assisting with filming and photo shoots for selected BluMedia projects.
"Chance is a very talented person, and we are very glad that he has selected and agreed to work with our studio on a full-time basis," said D&E/BluMedia co-owner David Adamson. "Our views and work ethics [share much in] common, and it was a perfect match for Chance and D&E Productions/BluMedia Studios to work together. He has a great eye for editing, he's very talented with graphic arts and he knows how to use a video camera as well as photography. Chance comes to us with a lot of experience and we always wanted to have him on our team for as long as I can remember."
Taffer was born and raised in Washington, D.C., where he worked in advertising until he relocated to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., in 1998. He continues to reside there. His entrée to porn occurred in 2001, when he began editing film and designing box covers for Helix Studios. In December 2006 Taffer founded his own company catering primarily to the high-definition component of the straight adult-video-production market. He took on D&E/BluMedia as a client in January 2007 and subsequently decided to devote all his professional energies to the company.
"Chance brings a lot of his talents to the table, and we need a person like him on our team to bring us to the next level in business," said D&E/BluMedia co-owner Edward Allens. "We can learn from each other and grow together in business to make our studio a success for many years to come."
Taffer noted, "D&E has been one of my best clients, and I am excited to work with them on a full-time basis. I look forward to a long-standing collaborative relationship. Now that we have the foundation set, it's time to build the studio up."
D&E Productions/BluMedia Studios produces several DVD lines, including Seymore Dicks Presents and the Broke Straight Boys series. The company also operates the webmaster affiliate program IntenseCash.
