Business 101 Seminar Helps Lay Foundation for Success

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The adult industry has many pressing issues involved in making it a lucrative business, especially for newbies. However, it's important not to forget the basics, which help to lay a firm foundation of success not just for beginners, but seasoned professionals as well.

Many attendees turned out for the Business 101 seminar during the first day of Phoenix Forum to hear essential business pointers from moderator Craig Tant, marketing director of MooCash, and a the lineup of veteran panelists including Sean Egret of CC Bill, Brad Mitchel of MoJo Host, Alec Helmy, president of XBiz, Tim Henning, technology and compliance director of ASACP, Mansion Productions Chief Executive Officer Oystein Wright, and Marty G. of Piracy View Software.

One attendee and new arrival to the adult space inquired as to how he could bring his new business to the next level successfully and maintain that accomplishment in a challenging industry.

Alec Helmy, president of XBiz, quickly responded "It's important to increase the frequency of updates, which is vital to membership retention." Helmy added that researching and targeting your demographics aid in converting traffic significantly. Hotlinking and advertising in magazines are also helpful tools.

Brad Mitchel of Mojo Host pointed out that success in the industry is based largely around recurring billing, and one of the best ways to insure this is by starting a community site or forum in which to allow members to post comments and offer vital feedback. It is also important to maintain an active role in these communities as well.

Traffic filtering, customer knowledge and polls were mentioned, as well as creating message boards, lurking inconspicuously on those boards and watching what you post.

The general consensus however was that high business ethics and watching who you do business with and purchase traffic from is the most important key to success.
