LOS ANGELES—The long-in-the-coming sequel to Axel Braun's 2012 VividXXXSuperheroes hit The Avengers XXX arrives Tuesday from Vivid Entertainment exclusively on its website Vivid.com.
Appearing right on the heels of Braun's fourth XRCO Awards victory for Best Director (Parody), Avengers XXX: An Axel Braun Parody stars XRCO Best Actress winner Penny Pax as Mockingbird, Zoe Voss as Wasp, Rikki Six as Ms. Marvel, Jayden Jaymes as Maria Hill, Juelz Ventura as Viper and Eva Karera as Red Guardian. Filling out the male super-roles are Josh Rivers as Captain America, Eric Masterson as Hawkeye, Seth Gamble as Winter Soldier, Xander Corvus as Spider-Man and Lexington Steele as Nick Fury.
"This is just an awesome movie, and not just because I directed it!" Braun said. "It's a fairly complex story, but it unfolds very fluidly while still allowing plenty of action and character development so the viewer can suspend disbelief. Rikki Six and Zoe Voss really steal the show in this one, and Xander Corvus is brilliant as always in the Spidey role, while Lexington Steele simply IS Nick Fury."
The story, co-written by longtime Braun collaborator Eli Cross, finds the Avengers splitting into groups to battle a creature known as Onslaught and find a toxic chemical hidden inside Hydra's secret base. Things take a turn for the sinister when they wind up facing off against one of their own, Spider-Man, transformed into an evil version of himself.
As with many of Braun's past comic book parodies, Avengers XXX 2 makes its way to the public just ahead of the big screen debut May 1 of its mainstream counterpart Avengers: Age of Ultron. The movie hits DVD April 28.
