NEW YORK - Adult search engine Booble reportedly has offered CBS $50 million for an ad spot during Super Bowl XLI. Thirty-second spots are being sold for $2.6 million, according to CNN.
Bob Smart, the founder of Booble, said the network has given his offer the cold shoulder. That’s probably all right with Smart, whose company has been well known for generating free publicity through the mainstream media and already has received a bit of notoriety for this latest stunt.
When queried by AVNOnline.com as to whether Booble had $50 million, Smart replied, “That is a very good question!”
Booble has posted on YouTube two 15-second commercials—which are tame, to say the least. To view the clips, click here and here.
When contacted, the CBS publicity department in Los Angeles was unaware of either the offer by Booble or a rejection by the network.
