Belle Knox Mini-Series to Debut Tuesday on Conde Nast Entertainment

NEW YORK CITY—Conde Nast Entertainment has announced that it will debut a new documentary series about Belle Knox, the Duke University student who became an adult entertainment sensation, beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 16, on Conde Nast's website. The series will be part of CNE's "documentary-heavy fall slate" of online programming called "The Scene Inside."

“I’m so happy to announce my collaboration with Conde Nast to bring you my story,”  Knox said.

"It's going to be a five episode series called Becoming Belle Knox," said Knox's publicist Lainie Speiser. "The series will air tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 16, beginning at 9 a.m. EST/6 a.m. PST on www.thescene.com. All five episodes will air at once."

A trailer for the series can be found here.

The documentary was produced by Stateless Media, which released the series' story line as follows: "Miriam Weeks is an 18-year-old college student attending Duke University—and is also Belle Knox, America’s top new adult film actress, using her income as an adult entertainer to pay her tuition. During her freshman year. a scandal broke out across national headlines about her career, and instead of hiding from it, she embraced it. By creating the alter ego Belle Knox, she believes she can separate her two realities: a promising college student at a top ranked university and a young woman working in the world of adult entertainment."

“This was a complicated story to tell, and Stateless Media was greatly helped by Belle, who combines intelligence with great emotional depth,” said the documentary series' producer Peter Savodnik, “The challenge was to make a movie that rose to the level of the protagonist. I hope we succeeded.”

"They were following her pretty much hot off the heels of her being in the news in March and being outed and doing all that press," Speiser explained. "They began to follow her going to video shoots, they followed her at Exxxotica Atlantic City this past April, and just took footage of her behind-the-scenes and tried to focus on what she's going through, and it's a real documentary about what was happening to her at the time."

"I know that they took footage of her on the set, and we're not sure which set but it was a set that she was on in Miami, I believe," Speiser added. "I know that they did footage of her at Exxxotica as well. I did see footage of her in the hotel room and between doing the booth and getting ready to go, and I know there's footage of her at the booth at Exxxotica."
