LOS ANGELES - AdultVest, an institutional investment company focused on the adult entertainment industry, has made an exclusive arrangement to handle the licensing for IPTV company, Fyre.TV.
"We had Fyre.TV do demonstrations at Internext last week, and people were completely blown away," said Mara Epstein, director of business development for AdultVest. "There's no delay time at all; the HD content is fluid and instantaneous."
IPTV is television content that is received by the viewer through the technologies regularly used for computer networks rather than being delivered through traditional broadcast and cable formats. Frye.TV is accessed through a box, sent to subscribers.
According to Epstein, Fyre.TV works with true streaming technology -- not progressive downloading -- which allows the users to view content instantaneously. The company also boasts DVD quality movies and trick play functionality, which creates the ability to fast forward and rewind.
"This system is designed to show the viewer only what they want to see, which gives them instant gratification," explained Epstein.
Fyre.TV runs on a proprietary interface, designed with navigation keys, and runs over a DSL/cable connection. Users can utilize a search engine that allows them to search inside movie titles for specific performers and scenes, as well as create playlists and favorites, much like iTunes. The system protects the content via DRM technology.
AdultVest recently made a number of key additions to its executive staff including industry veteran Epstein (a member of the Free Speech Coalition Board of Directors) and Howard Gordan as the company's vice president of investments.
The company is currently looking for adult content to join the brand. For inquiries, contact Epstein at 1.866.202.3554 or [email protected].
