LOS ANGELES - AdultBizLaw.com, the brainchild of attorney Michael W. Fattorosi, has been launched as a one-stop portal of legal information for the adult industry.
Fattorosi believes that
anyone working in the adult industry should know their rights and the laws
governing the industry.
"While in I was in law school, I helped develop one of the first attorney legal
research websites," Fattorosi said. "I saw an opportunity to provide relevant
legal information to the small to medium-size adult business owner.
AdultBizLaw.com is for the little guy that can't afford big retainer fees but
still needs legal guidance and advice."
The site features daily adult legal news and periodic updates on case law. It also
has articles on topics such as intellectual property, free speech, employment
law, Internet law and contracts.
The membership section has a searchable database of adult entertainment case
law from around the country. The site also has adult industry form contracts
and a database of statutes pertaining to adult entertainment. Members can
incorporate their companies and secure trademarks and copyrights for their intellectual
property through the website.
The site offers free 18 U.S.C. 2257 compliance software through a deal with
Y-Tracker.com. It also provides categorized and archived online video seminars
taught by leading authorities in the industry on subjects ranging from
obscenity to choosing the right camera for content production to piracy issues.
The site soon will feature a "brief bank" of pleadings from important
cases affecting every adult business.
"As an attorney in the
industry, one of the most important aspects of representing clients is
educating them," Fattorosi said. "A client that has at least a basic
understanding of the law will be a better long-term client. A client that
understands their situation will also keep their own legal costs down. No one
likes paying legal fees, and with AdultBizLaw.com, you can save money."
