ASACP PSA Featuring AWE to Screen at The AVN Show

LOS ANGELES—The newest public service announcement (PSA) for the Restricted to Adults – RTA Website Label and The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) will be screened at the 2010 AVN Show.

The PSA features Mickey Bojcsik, Adult Webmaster Empire-Lalib Marketing Support Group’s program director,  reminding companies to protect children and to protect their business by labeling with RTA.

“This is a very important time for the industry to demonstrate its ability to self-regulate by labeling with RTA. I am honored that Mickey and AWE volunteered their time and resources to create this new RTA PSA and very grateful to The AVN Show for sharing it with their attendees. In addition, ASACP Technology and Forensic Research Vice President Tim Henning will attend the AVN Show and will be at the ASACP table at the Meet Market on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Please stop by to congratulate Tim on his recent promotion to vice president," stated ASACP CEO Joan Irvine.

RTA is the adult entertainment industry’s initiative to protect children from viewing content that is age-restricted. The RTA label is a unique string of “meta data” which can easily be inserted into the computer code of any website or HTML mobile offering. If parents have installed parental filtering software and set up the features in Microsoft or Apple operating systems, children are prevented from viewing age-restricted content. ASACP launched RTA in November 2006 and currently over 2.2 million sites have adopted the RTA tag and there are over 11 million in-links to rtalabel.org.

Adult Webmaster Empire (AWE) is a premier live webcam affiliate program with a site portfolio listing 600,000-plus registered amateur video chat hosts. AWE has supported ASACP as a Platinum Sponsor since 2008. AWE is also currently offering its affiliates free badges, valued at $350, to The AVN Show.
