ASACP Affinity Program Offers Reduced Rates To Members

LOS ANGELES—As an organization, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection is always looking to provide more benefits for the members and sponsors who support its online child protection mission through the ASACP Affinity Program. The affinity program is for ASACP supporters only and offers business products and services to help members and sponsors add dollars to their bottom lines.

Now ASACP has announced the most recent addition to its Affinity program: reduced business insurance rates from Nicholson & Associates Insurance.

Nicholson & Associates has been in business since the mid-1960s. The organization have a wide range of companies that allows it to shop the national and international insurance marketplace for the best coverage at the most competitive prices. The companies with which Nicholson deals are A.M. Best Rated “A or better.”

Nicholson & Associates can offer health insurance, Property & Casualty, Directors & Officers, EPLI, Worker’s Compensation, Intellectual Property, Technology Errors and Omissions, Inland Marine (Equipment Offsite), Earthquake/Flood, Special Event/Tradeshow Coverage, Talent Agency Bonds and much more.

Johnathan G. Woolworth, Nicholson & Associates Insurance, is one of the few brokers who openly works with companies in the adult entertainment industry. Woolworth is a second-generation insurance professional who strives to work with his clients best interests in mind.

Because ASACP reviews and monitors its member sites for terms that would denote child pornography and scrubs these sites against its CP Reporting Hotline database, ASACP members are considered less risky. Also, since ASACP supporters label their sites with the international award-winning RTA “Restricted to Adult” meta-tag, Woolworth was able to obtain reduced premiums for ASACP members.

“It was incredible to see the reaction of the insurance companies I write for when I told them about ASACP, its 14 years of online child protection efforts, its monitoring process, Best Practices, work with law enforcement and government agencies, and the receipt of the American Society of Association Executives’ Associations Make a Better World Award for the RTA website label,” Woolworth said. “Insurance companies are risk adverse, and they understood that adult entertainment companies were not as risky as previously thought. These companies are more comfortable working with businesses that are part of professional and non-profit organizations, like ASACP."

ASACP’s CEO Joan Irvine stated, “As I have been saying on conference panels, there is a convergence between adult and mainstream and in order to work with mainstream companies, compliance to Best Practices and child protection are imperative. ASACP is pleased that its systems are part of this compliance and will help its members to reduce their expenses by receiving preferred rates—similar to other business sectors that support their non-profits. We’ve always wanted our members to receive benefits for their efforts to protect children, over and above their existing ASACP benefits. It is exciting that mainstream companies are recognizing the benefit of working with ASACP members, and we want to thank Jonathan for bringing this opportunity to ASACP and its members.”

Companies that are not already ASACP Supporters are encouraged to consider joining ASACP since Woolworth expects that the reduced premiums will defray a good portion of the annual cost of ASACP membership. In addition, he will also offer a special reduced rate for new ASACP Sponsors.

Plus, for every company/policy he writes, he will donate a portion of his commission to the ASACP Foundation to help it continue to develop technology for online child protection.
