AEBN Adds to Sales and Marketing Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - AEBN, a leader in video on demand, has added Joe Jekel to its sales and marketing team.

Jekel said he is looking forward to his new position.

"I'm really happy and excited to be with a good brand like AEBN that is quite a powerhouse," he said. "They have a lot to offer and are always on the pioneering and cutting edge. ...

"I'm very excited being someone AEBN tapped to help chart some of these courses with them. It's like Columbus came to me and said, ‘Hey. I've got this plan: I've got all the money and all the ships, and I'm going to America. Do you want to jump on board and be the cook?'"

Jerry Anders, vice president of sales and marketing for AEBN, said Jekel is a perfect fit for the company.

"Joe is definitely one of the most focused and ambitious people I have ever met in any industry," he said. "I'm psyched to have him on our team in 2008."

Jekel's background includes having run several startup companies, one of which introduced him to AEBN.

"We wrote a program called Remote Thumbs," he said. "We actually ended up selling it to AEBN."
