Women of CalExotics Give Up Their Bras

CHINO, Calif.—The women of California Exotic Novelties, one of the largest manufacturers of adult novelties in the nation, have volunteered to help fight breast cancer by donating their bras to a fundraiser sponsored by Athena’s Home Novelties.

The Athena’s Cup fundraiser aims to help the search for a cure for breast cancer and, at the same time, attempts to raise awareness for their cause by organizing the construction of a chain of 169,000 bras—the largest ever built. Each bra will carry the name of a loved one who has been affected by the disease.

Jackie White, vice president of Sales at CalExotics, has an office full of donated bras.

"I put the word out to my coworkers, and the response has been overwhelming,” she said. “The only one who didn't turn in a bra was Al Bloom, who said he still needed the support."

CalExotics has led the industry in corporate efforts to fight breast cancer.

"The sale of the popular Papillon Massager has been quietly raising thousands of dollars for Living Beyond Breast Cancer,” said Susan Colvin, president and founder of CalExotics. "We support all efforts to raise money for this worthy cause, and I salute Athena's for putting this together.”

Also, in the near future, CalExotics will be carrying out a fundraiser to help fight breast cancer in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In the meantime, if anyone wants to donate a bra to the cause, send it along with a minimum $5 donation to:
