Winter Edition of ANME Kicks Off 2-Day Run

BURBANK, Calif.—The latest installment of the ANME Founders Show kicked off Monday, Jan. 8, at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport, with exhibitors showcasing their new products that will hit shelves in the coming months.

Topco Sales, one of the industry’s Big Five manufacturers, debuted a new Down & Dirty range of large anal plugs and other anal toys under its Wild Fire banner. There were also Sex Please! double dongs making their debut at the show. The mega-manufacturer also debuted a new item in its Climax line: the Bodi 15X Silicone Palm Vibe. Available in three colors (rose pink, sea foam green and lilac), the lay-on vibe has a textured silicone covering and boasts three speeds and five vibrations modes. The waterproof massager is USB rechargeable and comes with a two-year warranty.

In the Perfect Fit Brand booth, performer and activist Buck Angel was on hand to talk about the newest products he and company owner Steve Callow created: the Kiss-X and the Fun Boy. The Kiss-X, available now, is a smaller version of the award-winning Buck-Off masturbator created for trans men. The Fun Boy comes in two sizes and colors—4.5 inches and 6.5 inches in clear or black—that can function as a strap-on, packer or extender.

“We will soon have a rod that can be inserted so people can be ready to go at a moment’s notice if they like,” Angel said.

Sportsheets also exhibited at the B2B event, showcasing the newest additions to its Sex & Mischief line, including new floggers, a crystal whip and red rope for bondage. The line also sports new packaging that is smaller and features spot color to help it stand out on retailers’ shelves. And helping Sportsheets to stand out at the show was a giant S&M sign in red lettering on black. The company also took some of the most popular pieces from its Sexperiments range and repackaged them for the Sex & Mischief line. The Enchanted Products range also debuted at ANME, and features cuffs, collars and more with a maroon velvet look.

Attendees were eager to get their hands on the Sona in the LELO booth: Sona is a sonic massager that stimulates 75 percent more of the clitoris—without actually touching it—for a feeling that could change lives, one orgasm at a time. The Sona series has two versions, one featuring a unique new Cruise Control technology that maintains exactly the power you choose no matter how firmly it’s pressed against your body.

Instead of vibration, which focuses attention on the external nerve endings, Sona uses sonic pulses which resonate deep in the internal structure of the clitoris. Additionally, company reps also introduced Bordeaux & Chocolat scented candles, the Postura Sex Ramp and rose-shaped bath petals.

New in the Kama Sutra booth were Erotic Play Sets. These limited edition sets each feature a small BDSM toy, along with a few Kama Sutra products, such as Honey Dust or Oil of Love. The kits are available as Arouse Me, Surprise Me, Feel Me and Trust Me. The sets also come with play cards inside that suggest various sexual positions compatible with the included items.

Pipedream Products debuted new lines and products, including new love dolls Kitty and Carmen. The dolls come with steel skeletons and are posable, right down the toes and French-manicured fingers. Each of the dolls comes with three holes for penetration, stand at more than 5 feet tall and weigh about 80 pounds. They dolls are part of the Pipedream Extreme Toys collection.

Also new to that collection are the Dirty Talk masturbators. The pieces—the Interactive Fuck Me Silly, Interactive Bad Girl and Interactive Titty Fuck-Her—that have the added sensory experience of actual dirty talk. A woman’s voice moans and says key phrases to excite the user and add to the masturbation experience. The technology was also added into a new PDX Elite Stroker.

The company also debuted the Fantasy For Her line at the show. With 14 products, the line is created primarily for women and all items come in similar shades of purple. The pieces feature more ergonomic designs and are meant to help users enjoy more erotic sensations. The packaging features short stories, written by Pipedream’s in-house certified sex coach and clinical sexologist Sunny Rodgers, and highlighting how the products can be used.

In the JimmyJane booth, a new Love Pod made its debut. The Tre is a massager that fits into the palm of the hand and features three petals that vibrate.

“The Tre looks very much like the Halo without the lip,” explained Rodgers. Also new was the Pure, an accessory to the Love Pods line that charges and sanitizes the Love Pods and giving off a soft glowing light—purple while charging and blue once complete.

NS Novelties showcased new items in the popular Firefly glow-in-the-dark range. New items include the Firefly Halo cock ring and the Firefly Rise cockring/ballring. New anal plugs coming soon from the company include Mojis—anal plugs with the #ILY, #OMG and #WTF emojis in the base—and Oinkz, tapered silicone pleasure plugs with a squiggly 8-inch pig tail.

Doc Johnson also was front and center in the main showroom, with new items in its Rechargeable iVibe collection as well as its Kink by Doc Johnson range.

New to iVibe are the iRoll, a dual stimulator that has stimulating beads that move up and down the shaft, as well as a wheel with silicone tabs as a clitoral stimulator The iPlease os a powerful new bullet vibrator with a ring handle that boasts 20 vibrational patterns. Both pieces are available in pink and purple.

Among the new additions to the Kink by Doc Johnson collection are the Power Play, which is the new iPlease redone in the red-and-black color scheme of Kink by Doc Johnson Products; the Pulse, a four-motor vibrator that has an eight-function insertable shaft, and three 12-function vibrating prongs; the Bind & Tie kit, a rope play kit that includes two 30-foot and one 5-foot lengths of rope and safety scissors.
