Wicked Sensual Pledges simply Aqua Proceeds to Sexual Assault Org

LOS ANGELESWicked Sensual Care is honoring Sexual Assault Awareness Month by pledging its resources and a portion of proceeds from the sales of simply Aqua Special Edition to Tending the Garden, a charitable organization that helps marginalized sexual assault survivors such as transgender individuals and others.

According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, nearly half of all transgender individuals have experienced sexual assault at some point in their lives, with rates significantly higher among trans people of color, individuals engaged in sex work, those experiencing homelessness, or those with disabilities.

Originally launched in September 2021, simply Aqua Special Edition was created as a way of supporting LGBTQ+ communities throughout the year by donating a portion of sales to the charitable organizations serving them. To date, more than $50,000 has been contributed to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, the Trevor Project, Trans Lifeline, Trans Santa, Black and Pink, Immigration Equality and others to promote equal rights and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people.

"Retailers and distributors play such a crucial role in serving communities with diverse backgrounds, and it's uplifting to see their commitment to creating workplaces that mirror this diversity,” Wicked Sensual Care brand strategist Jessica Drake said. “We encourage our retail and distribution partners to stock plenty of simply Aqua Special Edition, not only to meet customer demand, but as a way to join us in our year-round support of Tending the Garden and other LGBTQ+ organizations."
