LOS ANGELES—Wicked Sensual Care, fresh from earning the AVN Award for Best Enhancement Manufacturer last month, features Alexis E. of Newman, Georgia’s Starship Enterprises in its monthly Retail Employee Spotlight.
Located at 029 GA-34, the popular retailer currently has over 115 4.6 out of 5-star reviews on Google.
Each month a new notable individual in the pleasure products segment is interviewed for the Wicked Sensual Care newsletter's Retail Employee Spotlight feature.
”I got into adult retail for the environment. I was able to be myself, to express myself freely. I felt comfortable being open to my peers and trying my best to help others feel the same way,” Alexis said. “I love helping customers realize that the things we do are normal and nothing to be ashamed of.
“My specialty is showing people products they didn’t even know existed,” she continued. “I love showing them new lubes and sensation gels, things they never would have chosen for themselves or considered before. Opening those doors for them is super rewarding. It makes my customers, and myself, feel like they are getting the most out of their time in the store—and in the bedroom.”
When asked about her favorite part of the job, she said, “The best thing about my job is being able to educate customers on how to be safe and healthy during their intimate times. When you take the time to educate your customers, not only does it make them feel more comfortable and willing to communicate their needs to you, but it gives you a sense of purpose and makes me, in particular, feel like I am doing something worthwhile.”
Those working in the retail sector of the pleasure products space are invited to nominate employees and colleagues for Retail Employee Spotlight.
Nominations may be submitted to [email protected] by including the employee's name, store name, location/city, store social media handles and a brief paragraph about why they deserve to be chosen (photograph optional). Self-nominations are also accepted.
“Knowledge is power and for our retailer partners, thorough product knowledge is key,” said Wicked Sensual Care sales director Jennifer Brice. “It is difficult to effectively sell to a customer if you can’t show how a particular product will address their individual needs. An employee like Alexis knows it is important that customers understand the value of the product, how the product should and can be used, and what products work well together. Thank you for all your hard work, Alexis, we appreciate you!”
