LOS ANGELES—überlube, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is anticipating accelerated sales at the summer edition of the all-digital Adult Novelty Expo (ANE) this June 22-25.
The Expo once again will go all-digital on ANE’s cutting-edge virtual platform, where qualified industry members can interact in a variety of ways that include 1-on-1 meetings, group presentations and through virtual booths.
“We anticipate having some new products for ANE this summer,” überlube Brand Manager Cheryl Sloane said. “I’m really looking forward to connecting with everyone during ANE and getting in touch with the marketplace again. It will be great to check in with customers to see how their business is doing.”

Founded in 2011 by Stephen Magnusen, the überlube team includes Jack Magnusen and John Epler, who are business partners in the well-established Chicago-based company. With the distinctive and classy clear glass bottles sporting a pure white pump, überlube has continued to be the go-to brand for those who are looking for a personal lubricant in stylish packaging that is discreet enough to be left out in plain sight.
In addition, versatile überlube has also been a mainstay in the haircare category to tame frizzy or unruly hair for all genders. Runners and other sport participants have also been consistent buyers when überlube is used to eliminate uncomfortable chafing that many of them may experience during workouts or competition.
The skin-friendly überlube is also popular to eliminate chafing during the warmer months when more skin is exposed to the elements.
“Many people first buy überlube to use as a personal lubricant and quickly realize there are so many other uses,” Sloane said. “We offer education for all of our buyers and many of them are surprised about the different ways to use überlube. The information makes for great customer education, which we are all about.”
Sloane reported that sales of überlube didn’t slow down with the pandemic. “In fact, customer demand from buyers increased beyond our dreams and we’re so happy our brick-and-mortar stores are opening their doors again.”
Domestically manufactured in Chicago using raw materials that are generated locally, the ever-slick, silicone formula of überlube continued manufacturing during the pandemic while adapting to additional safety precautions and maintaining the safety of their employees.
Sloane added, “Since we are an FDA-registered medical device, our manufacturing process was already well regulated. We maintained our shipping and manufacturing schedule and going forward, are looking forward to serving our customers’ demands for our high quality lubricant.”
For their major adult products category, Sloane continued, “Our quality silicone lube’s 50ml size has always been a best seller, but the larger 100ml has taken over. More repeat sales and increased popularity has resulted in a more educated and experienced customer base, making überlube more in demand as it ever has been.”
