LOS ANGELES—When the pandemic physically separated its brand ambassadors from customers, System JO turned to video to stay connected with resellers. But, rather than focus solely on trainings and product demos, JO went all-in on a streaming video show highlighting the industry’s people and events.
Entitled “All Lubed Up and Nowhere to Go,” the live webcast is a full-fledged talk show complete with production staff, guest features, and a huge social media component that allows for broad interactivity. Each week, hosts Tori and Ryan McCrobie take to the “air,” streaming their content live to the industry’s popular Facebook groups – SPAM and Pleasure Professionals Place. Additionally, the show goes live on its own page, facebook.com/andnowheretogo.
“Our only goal with the show was to give something back to the retailers,” explains host Ryan McCrobie. “2020 beat on all of us pretty hard, so we wanted to do something that highlighted topics that meant something to everyone who’s just trying to make it work.”
With 25 episodes under their belt, the teams at All Lubed Up (ALU) and JO are taking what they’ve learned and cranking things up a notch. Having gained several hundred industry followers since inception, as well as dozens of guests representing brands and retailers alike, the opportunity to build connections is stronger than ever.
“We’re adding new topics and new segments—and prizes—every week,” host Tori McCrobie adds. “We’ll start a conversation with a guest and it can lead to a whole range of new ideas on how we can highlight the amazing people in this industry.”
All Lubed Up and Nowhere to Go streams live every Thursday at 6 p.m. Pacific, 9 p.m. Eastern on Facebook, and replays can be seen there as well the show’s website, alllubedupshow.com. To contribute segment ideas, request a guest appearance, or just to connect to the ALU team, interested brands or retailers should email jamie@alllubedupshow.
