Sex Toy Beauty Queens

With people willing to pay more for sex toys these days, manufacturers are making more high-end beautiful and bootiful sex toys than ever before. Today, “Netflix and a sex toy” is considered a “staycation,” and people who never bought them before are attracted to the one that look like a cross between a work of art and a high-tech sex machine. The latest trend is giving an elegant sex toy to a couple as a wedding present. Perfect for the exhausted newlyweds who can let the sex toy do all the work.

LELO: Fairest of Them All

With some of the most beautiful sex toys on the planet, the Swedish-based but globally known LELO is certainly a contender for the world’s “sex toy beauty contest.” The Insignia & Luxe collection of premium pleasure toys offer the best of both worlds: They are pretty and smart. And they promote world peace.

The Yva is a clitoral vibrator that is “more than a powerful massager,” says the company. It’s “sexual jewelry.” The Yva retails for $3,900 in 24K gold and $2,890 in stainless steel, and the ad copy is priceless. “Silence is golden, for those who value quiet dignity. Yva is deeply indulgent and absolutely silent.”

The butt plug gets all fancy with The Earl, which is intended for the “refined gentleman.” According to LELO, “It’s quite simply the most distinguished gentleman’s plug in the world.” Retailing at $2,590 for the 24K gold version and $1,590 for the stainless steel one, it comes with matching cufflinks. (Cocktail convo: “I love your elegant cufflinks.” Thanks, they match my elegant butt plug.”)

The Isla is an “elegant and beautiful sensuous massager that is perfectly contoured to complement the curves of the body,” says LELO. The long massager “reaches pleasure spots you never knew existed.” Good to know. Thanks. And only $189 for your “perfect bedfellow.”

What might be the most expensive sex toy ever, the Inez sells for $15,000 retail. LELO justifies this price by saying, “It’s perfect for those who understand that you can’t put a price on pleasure.” The sleek silhouette looks like a midcentury-modern sculpture and is sculpted “to target the G-spot.” The luxurious vibrator “is perfect for that “dressy but boring party,” which sounds like our kind of party!

Hello Zalo

The newest entry in the beautiful sex toy category is Zalo, which produces exquisite hand-crafted massagers using a jewelry-grade enamel process. Their “high-powered, low-volume” toys feature an app remote control and appeal to “women of fashion, independence and energy.” Their Versailles collection design inspiration comes from the Palace of Versailles, the French royal palace that exemplifies Baroque and Rococo design.

The four massagers of the Versailles series are named after four royals, including the most notorious, Marie Antoinette. Each Versailles product comes in three colors: bright red, rouge pink and royal blue, the three colors widely used in Rococo-style clothing, architecture and cosmetics. The package design on these products is really beautiful and inspired by ornate jewelry boxes from the 17th and 18th centuries. I want one just for the box!

The Lolita collection was inspired by inspired by Lolita culture in Japan. The shape inspiration comes from splashing milk drops, symbolizing sweet love and sexual pleasure. A round pink product box is girly and charming, inspired by the “merry go round of the first date.” Their white and pink heart-shaped massagers ($129) were inspired by “the maiden heart hoping for romantic love.”

The Queen pulse wave G-spot vibrator was inspired by Eqyptian Queen Cleopatra (and Elizabeth Taylor’s look in the movie!). The multi-tasking vibrator includes a vibrating and pulse wave motor, a heating element, an app remote control, and a Swarovski crystal. At $149, this thing rules.

More Fun, More Pleasure

Fun Factory’s designed sex toys are colorful, fun to look at, and fun to use. The Stronic Surf G-spot massager, for instance, looks like it’s made of blue plastic waves. According to Kristen Tribby, Fun Factory’s director of marketing and education, “Fun Factory toys are designed with ripples for deep massage of the G-spot, perineal sponge and other erogenous zones, while the Big Boss satisfies the desire for size, but also for sophistication. It has a realistic look without too much realistic detail” (blue surf looks prettier than “veiny penis”). And, Tribby adds, “Its loop handle is practical for an easy grip when you have lube on your hand, for instance.” For information, visit FunFactory.com.

More Art, More Orgasms

More artful creations include polished natural stone and crystal pleasure toys for a lady’s “yoni” by Chakrubs, and cool-looking, organic wooden dildos and cock rings by Nobessence. Njoy makes polished stainless steel toys for more joy, while Jimmyane and OhMiBod—early proponents of making sex toys look attractive—keep it up with incredible-looking (and feeling) products. Jimmyjane’s innovative “self-sanitizing” G-spot vibrating “love pods” create groovy purple mood lighting for more love. And OhMiBod’s fun sex toy designs, including heart-shaped vibrators, make it a pleasure to seek more pleasure.
