Even though it’s starting to become more commonplace for adult companies known for producing DVDs to enter into the world of adult novelties, there is still an air of secrecy surrounding each arrival.
Such was the case with New Sensations, which launched its line of Bzzz Buddies, Tatu Vibes and other products recently. Though the company—known for its Romance line of DVDs and hit parodies like The Office: A XXX Parody, Scrubs: A XXX Parody and Seinfeld: A XXX Parody—spent more than a year and a half developing the line, the buzz really started flying just weeks before the official launch.
The new line includes the anime-inspired Bzzz Buddies, Tatu Vibes featuring dynamic tattoo designs, and exclusive molds of superstars Ashlynn Brooke and Shane Diesel.
“New Sensations entered the world of novelties with a bang,” said Gene Wheet, vice president of sales for VC Distributors. “While many first-time novelty producers tiptoe into the industry, New Sensations separated themselves by displaying a sense of daring and creativity, which is sure to pay off big time.”
The Bzzz Buddies are an original spin on leading female massagers. The anime-inspired personal massagers come in two mini lines, with four massagers in each one. The “land” line features Pandy, Frisky, Shivers and Paws, while Pokey, Ribbit, Inkee and Bubbles are in the “sea” line.
The entire line is the brainchild of New Sensations President Scott Taylor, who took great care when designing each of the characters and personal massagers in the line.
“I have always loved anime, and when we started creating this line more than a year and a half ago, I wanted to incorporate that into the items somehow,” Taylor said.
Taylor said he knew there would be some basic characteristics each of the items would share: the cute animals, with the big, soft, rounded eyes and the heads larger than the body size.
“That’s standard for anime,” he said. “It’s always about the eyes.”
The animals each come with a cute name and a little back story: “Panda was a wee little panda bear who lived in the forest.” “Paws is the smallest of all his brothers and sisters. They all seem to be so much bigger! But that doesn’t bother Paws at all.” Each is equipped with four interchangeable heads.
Taylor noted a ninth version will soon be available. That item, he said, is the Puppy Cake, which is designed for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries.
“The Bzzz Buddies may seem like a simple concept, but New Sensations is the first company to try something like it, while still maintaining the integrity of the vibrator’s performance,” Wheet said.
New Sensations also unveiled the Tatu Vibes, which are printed with original tattoo art from Ray Buzzell, owner of tattoo studio Altered Flesh in Santa Clarita, Calif. The powerful touch vibrators are multi-speed, 100 percent phthalate free, waterproof and lube friendly.
Meanwhile, New Sensations is the only place to find Ashlynn Brooke’s Perfect Pussy and Shane Diesel’s Big, Black and Realistic cock mold.
“Of course, consumers have been begging for molds of Ashlynn Brooke and Shane Diesel for a while, and New Sensations exceeded anyone’s expectations,” Wheet said. “I can’t wait to get this line in our stores.”
“The reaction to our novelty line [is] overwhelming and more than I could have hoped for,” Taylor said. “The Bzzz Buddies [are] a huge success, offering stores a unique and cool alternative to anything they currently carry. The Ashlynn and Shane toys are the first to bear their likenesses. The star power behind those names and the functionality of the toys make them a hot commodity.”
