LAS VEGAS—The AVN Novelty Expo rolls into its final day today, which leaves buyers one more day to hit the show floor and meet the new kids on the block. Here’s a roundup of just some of the companies making their ANE debut. To find these exhibitors, click here for a map of the ANE hall.
Among the first-time exhibitors at the 2017 AVN Novelty Expo is Love Box, a company from Ontario, Calif., that makes portable sex structures. The Love Box is a portable sex structure featuring a variety of adjustable, dedicated supports for holding one’s arms and legs. The design intent of the Love Box is to provide committed partners with a simple means of comfortably achieving a wide variety of sexual positions, thus providing them with a simple means of enhancing their shared sex lives.

Manufactured primarily of lightweight yet heavy-duty aluminum or titanium alloy and composed of interlocking or comparable pieces that facilitate quick assembly and installation of the device, the Love Box stands approximately 6 feet high, 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep.

Another company creating intimacy products for couples is LUV Rydr, a husband-and-wife team.
“We couldn’t find awesome products on the market, so we decided to create our own,” said Bryan, co-founder of LUV Rydr. “We are working on other products for 2017 and hope to launch them Q2 or Q3 of 2017.”
The first product from LUV Rydr is the LUV Rydr Intimate Love Harness. The piece is a comfortably padded yoke that rests on a woman’s shoulders and has straps that lead to handles that are held by a partner, and then used to pull for deeper penetration in a variety of sexual positions.
“Most of the products are for couples, but some can be used solo,” Bryan said of LUV Rydr’s product range. “We want your experience to be just that, something magical, every time.”
The company plans to make the LUV Rydr Intimate Love Harness, which made its debut in February 2016, available in more colors. And they want to expand the reach of the company by networking at ANE.
“We are small team, made up of a husband and wife who have been together for 20 years,” Bryan said. “We are interested in making other couples enjoy their sexual health and work on having better relationships with each other.”

Vivian Tech is attending the AVN Novelty Expo to showcase inventor Istvan Keszei’s prototype as well as meet with potential investors.
“I am a designer and I did work on a new sexual aid the last two years,” Keszei said. “This is a brand-new design luxury combined with smart technology. I have a 100 percent working prototype and I want to go forward and bring my design to production.”
Vivian Technology’s product combines a ride-on vibrator with furniture to provide more versatility, range and options for consumers.
The AVN Novelty Expo is known for being the trade show where new companies can introduce themselves to the pleasure products industry. Many of today’s well-known manufacturers got their start by exhibiting at ANE, and Pleasureglass Toys is hoping to join those ranks.
Pleasureglass Toys got its start five years ago with Ecoglass del Peru, a company that manufactures recycled glass bottles for the pharmaceutical industry.
“Ecoglass del Peru quickly became a leading manufacturer in Peru for this market, and three years ago we opened a new department for hand-made glass products, including home decoration articles and adult novelty toys, the last one under our brand Pleasureglass Toys,” explained Sergio Kruger of Pleasureglass Toys.
Pleasureglass Toys started in the adult market in Peru with a glass dildo, and now offers two models—a straight and a curved version—with plans to introduce more in the coming months.
“Since it’s the first time we will participate in the show, we want the market to know our brand, to network with retailers and distributors and to get a deeper insight of the adult novelty market,” Kruger said. “We are value oriented to our collaborators and customers, centering both of them as the most strong value of our company in order to achieve excellence in quality of our products and service.”

Also adding a decorative flair at ANE is Sapphire’s Exotic Creations. “I have been making and creating jewelry all of my adult life,” owner Cathie Jaynes said. “I started being interested in making jewelry when I was in seventh grade. I started a company name Cathie’s Designer Jewelry in 1995. I made and sold one-of-a-kind crystal and pearl necklace sets.
“I started Sapphire’s Exotic Creations in the spring of 2002 after moving to Tampa, Florida,” she continued. “I lived and sold my jewelry at a nudist resort where I had a small poolside boutique for 11 years. I created my non-pierced nipple jewelry in the summer of 2002. Now I am making pierced and non-pierced nipple jewelry and men’s penis jewelry. This year I had my logo created into pendants, earrings and nipple jewelry.”
The 2017 ANE marks the first time Sapphire’s Exotic Creations will exhibit. Jaynes hopes to meet with and develop relationships with buyers in an effort to expand her business and have more companies exhibiting her jewelry, including her patent-pending non-pierced nipple jewelry.
In addition to her non-pierced nipple jewelry she has a variety of pierced and non-pierced jewelry for men and women. Her nipple jewelry, Dick Thangs and other unique body jewelry products are widely distributed throughout the world, both retail and wholesale. Jaynes also makes custom-made jewelry for clients who want a special design.

Merkins.eu traveled from Europe to ANE to showcase their own body adornments.
“Our company was originally founded as family business in 2011 as manufacturer of high-quality fake mustaches and beards; that is where the idea of merkins came from,” said Tomas Siuipys, CEO and owner of Merkins.eu. “We are a company well known for top-quality products in the party business.”
Quality is the most important feature of Merkins.eu products, Siuipys said.
“We produce a high-grade synthetic fake hair that is attached to the user with a 3M medical adhesive, and there are no hygienic or ethical issues with their use,” he said. “Each attractive package contains one pubic wig (merkin) and three adhesive plasters. Our company in Europe manufactures more than 300 different varieties to suit customers needs. Our merkins don’t shed, and are well combed before shipping.”
From its first merkin—a crown-shaped pubic covering decorated with yellow rhinestones—Merkins.eu now offers everything from airbrushed colored flags and kinky full bush to an elegant landing strip and romantic heart shape with red rhinestones.

It wouldn’t be a pleasure product show without a couple of new enhancement products. One is SexCereal, a nutritious breakfast food designed to increase sexual health making its U.S. trade show debut at ANE.
Launched in 2013 by Big Life Living Inc., the cereal went viral in the United States and globally without the company ever promoting it outside of Canada. SexCereal offers two distinct formulas for men and women.
SexCereal and Sexual Power were created by founder Peter Ehrlich out of a commitment to develop and deliver nutritional products formulated and built on sound nutritional science that also offer a great taste. The company also recently expanded into powdered drinks for sexual health.
“This is the first time Big Life Living will be promoting its products in the USA, so we will show off SexCereal and Sexual Power for men and women, and all of our other new products,” said Jimmy Vaid, president of iLevel Management, parent company of Big Life Living.
“Big Life Living adheres to the Richard Branson principal of business,” Vaid said. “If it doesn’t shake up the industry and isn’t fun to launch, we won’t launch it. We take great pride in being able to say we created the first disruptive breakfast cereal.
“SexCereal was reported on by Stephen Colbert, Good Morning America, Kelly and Michael, David Letterman and Conan without us ever sending out a press release,” he continued. “A breakfast cereal for sexual health? What could have more potential? That was proven by the press we received upon launch. Now we want to turn Americans on to SexCereal.”

First-time ANE exhibitor Wicked Hammer started as an energy drink company, but it soon became apparent the name was better suited for adult entertainment.
“We began developing our image and flagship product while deployed in Afghanistan in 2011, eventually forming and registering as an LLC in 2012,” said Tom Melling of Wicked Hammer. “We still market our energy drink, but this year our prime focus is on developing new markets with our new herbal products. We are still a small-fry size business but we pack a punch and will keep coming back for more!”
Founded and owned by veterans, Wicked Hammer started with Wicked Hammer Energy Drink, which was met with popular demand in the indie rock and electronic music scenes. The product even gained notoriety with some big-name artists.
These days, the company is marketing the WH Energy Drink and WH Hard, an all-new sexual male enhancement supplement.
“We have developed an extensive professional network since 2012 and look forward to expanding into the adult entertainment and novelty industry this year,” Melling said, adding Wicked Hammer has a number of products in development.
Representatives from Wicked Hammer plan will take limited initial orders for WH Hard at ANE.
“We are leaning forward into the coming year with excitement as we anticipate WH Hard to do well in the Southeastern CS and head shop markets,” Melling said. “We have plans in motion to develop two more natural sexual enhancement capsule products as well as a condom and personal lubricant product line. This is truly an exciting market to be entering and we look forward to linking up with other successful professionals within the industry.”
