Nalpac Under New Ownership

FERNDALE, Mich.—Brothers Steve and Andy Craig wasted no time jumping in with both feet as the new owners of adult distributor Nalpac.

“We closed the sale Saturday, hopped on a plane Sunday and are at our very first trade show now,” said Steve.

The Craig brothers purchased the assets of Nalpac from founder Ralph Caplan. The name has legally changed to Nalco, but will remain operating as Nalpac, Steve explained. The company will soon move from its existing home in Ferndale to a new facility in metro Detroit.

“We are so excited to be moving to the newer facility,” Steve said. “It will allow us to be more nimble and better meet the needs of our clients.”

The Craig brothers are no strangers to distribution and manufacturing: as a family business they have been involved in private equity for those industries on the mainstream side, but saw the move into adult as a good one.

“Adult is growing in so many ways and it’s much more socially acceptable now,” Steve told AVN. “We think we can bring a new look to the adult industry and Nalpac in particular.”

While the Craig brothers might be new, Steve said, the staff of Nalpac remains in place, including Glenn LeBoeuf, vice president of operations.

Steve said he and his brother Andy are looking forward to learning about their new industry, including attending shows and hosting their own open house in August.

“What a wonderfully welcoming group of people we have met so far,” he said. “We are looking forward to this adventure.”
