LOS ANGELES—Mythic Heart’s certified hypnotherapist Jonathan Fischer has announced new service offerings in the sexual health field.
“Hypnosis allows people to change unconscious programming, to be more relaxed and confident during sexual play,” Fischer said. “This often alleviates, or helps to alleviate, many of the sexual ‘problems’ people may be experiencing. It can also make a person’s sex life more reliable, expansive, and far more enjoyable!”
Fischer has been therapeutically hypnotizing clients for more than 14 years to aid in weight management, personal development and mental health improvement. After a successful foray into hypnotic sex therapy with select clientele, Fischer is opening these sessions to the public and working towards recognition as a sex hypnotherapist and educator in the sexual wellness community.
According to Fischer, many mental and physical sexual issues, like erectile dysfunction, anorgasmia, premature ejaculation, and trauma-borne anxiety, can be addressed through hypnotherapy with thorough results. He explains that the way hypnosis works on the brain is the key to success in helping to heal sexual issues.
“Hypnosis is a way for a person to gain control over his or her unconscious mind and programming. The unconscious is where our beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, fears, insecurities, and anxieties reside,” Fischer said. “Our conscious mind is, at best, 10 percent of our mind, and the unconscious is the powerful remaining 90 percent. So, whatever we might say we consciously want, if it isn’t in alignment with our unconscious mind, it’s just will-power. With respect to conscious ‘will-power,’ a person can’t force an orgasm, an erection, or a very good time.”
In addition to medically-diagnosed sexual issues, hypnotic sex therapy is uniquely poised to tackle client concerns surrounding shame, lack of self-confidence, mindfulness, and disconnection from a partner.
“Since hypnosis is safe, relaxing, enjoyable, and the primary avenue to give suggestions to the unconscious mind, it’s an ideal way to practice new sexual beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors,” said Fischer. “In essence, a person can begin “experiencing” this new, preferred way of being in the safety of their mind, implanting new, positive experiences from which to draw upon when he or she is in an actual sexual situation.”
Fischer noted common daily stressors, miscommunication, and unaddressed sexual baggage can wreak havoc on couples seeking connection and pleasure together. When combined with physical issues like erectile dysfunction, it can feel almost impossible to re-energize one's sex life. Hypnotherapy can aid both physical and mental sexual dysfunction together, especially where one exacerbates the other.
“This could include feeling relaxed enough for a woman to allow herself to experience an orgasm, experience an orgasm with greater ease, perhaps in different situations,” says Fischer, “or, for a man to
be able to gain more control over erections or orgasms, and overcome or release feelings of inadequacy.”
Contrary to popular belief, Fischer said, hypnotherapy isn't the same as medically-acknowledged psychotherapy, nor can it force a person to take actions they otherwise would not.
“Hypnotherapy is not ‘therapy,’ in that it does not treat or diagnose mental health issues. Hypnotherapy is for vocational or avocational self-improvement, and sexual health and enhancement of the sexual experience,” Fischer said. “What hypnosis does best is suggest. It can allow a person to begin to change his or her unconscious fears, beliefs, behaviors, and insecurities around sex, to better match the sex life or sexual experiences he or she consciously desires.”
Mythic Heart will offer new clients a free discovery call to unveil possible avenues for consistency and success through hypnotherapy.
Fischer's first-time client deal, a 45-60 minute phone call called Live Your Best Sex Life Now, will include the following:
• Chart your sexual and relationship personality (no right or wrong answers!), talk about what that is, discuss your result, and see how it affects your sex life.
• Create a crystal-clear vision of the kind of sex-life you desire.
• Uncover hidden challenges that could be sabotaging your desired sex life.
• Go over what I do, what working with me would look like, and if we would be a good fit to work together.
• Have you leaving the session feeling renewed, re-energized, and inspired to finally begin creating that sex-life that can be better than you had ever imagined!
Prospective clients can reach out through MythicHeart.com and contact Fischer directly through email to inquire about a session. Most hypnotherapy sessions can be conducted via Zoom or Skype.
Fischer is also looking forward to connecting with sex therapists, licensed therapists, educators, medical doctors with patients who have health issues or anxiety around sex, and sexual health-based businesses for networking and collaboration.
“Hypnosis and hypnotherapy is a great tool to help a person gain more sexual confidence, be more relaxed during sex, ease anxieties and insecurities, and to feel more present, connected, and more
mindful during sexual play,” concludes Fischer. “I'm optimistic about the future of sexual wellness and would be honored to connect with others in the community who are working towards the same goals.”
