Motorbunny Combines Two Thrills in One With Buck

SANFORD, N.C.—Pleasure products manufacturers often rely on feedback from consumers to tweak their products, or for inspiration for new products altogether. The people at Motorbunny are no different, as evidenced by the Motobunny Buck.

“We would get questions from fans of the original Motorbunny about why the attachments twirl and don’t thrust,” explained Caleb Thompson, co-founder of Motorbunny. “Traditionally, ride-on-top vibrators and thrusting sex machines were two distinct and separate toy categories, and they never really overlapped.”

Customers of ride-on vibrators are not always the same people who invest in thrusting sex machines, Thompson said, but both groups are willing to pay for quality in their preferred machines. The Motorbunny Buck, he said, satisfies both groups.

“Each type of customer wants to make sure they are getting a quality machine for their investment,” Thompson told AVN. “The Motorbunny Buck gives them the option of using each type of machine together or separate, but in one piece for one price.”

The Motobunny Buck replaces the twirl function traditionally used with saddle vibrators with two separate thrusting motions, making it a one-of-a-kind hybrid.

“We worked with our engineering team and now have three patents pending,” Thompson told AVN, referring to the technology and designs used for the product.

Motorbunny has slowly rolled out the new Buck version, Thompson said, and has worked with users to improve the experience. For example, he said, some customers reported a preference for using the Motorbunny Buck on its side to enjoy the thrusting motioning a different way. But that in turn has led to some wearing on the cables when they end up under the edge of the ride-on vibrator. So developers created the Right Angle Edge. Made of heavy-duty foam, the piece is exclusively designed for Motorbunny, and stabilizes the vibrator for new positions while protecting the cords from fraying.

The Motorbunny Buck also comes with the Link Bluetooth and internet controller, just like the Motorbunny original. The controller lets users or their partners control the Motorbunny via the internet or the Motorbunny app, making it convenient for long-distance partners.

The Motorbunny Buck, again like its predecessor, also has integrated Siri voice command functionality, allowing users to control their Motorbunny with voice commands. And the open Application Programming Interface (API) supports the control of individual units by privatized link sharing.

“We help them jumpstart that a bit with the inclusion of our own game, FappyBunny,” Thompson said.

Available on the Apple App Store, FappyBunny features the FappyBunny character navigating through a gauntlet of dangerous obstacles with the aid of users who can control the bunny by tapping the screen on their mobile device. The character’s altitude determines the intensity of Motorbunny’s “buzz” control, and when it crashes, the Motorbunny briefly reaches full power before scaling things back.

The game also can be played without a Motorbunny Original or Motorbunny Buck.

“The game and and API lets us approach fans in a disarming way,” Thompson said. “Games are great way to get people involved with Motorbunny and remind them sex can be fun.”
